The final objective is, to secure the network from unknown machines, but allow guest the use of our network to a guest VLAN. (objective not accomplished, have no idea how to configure this, only that it can be done, not sure how) If it's not validate in the RADIUS (meaning it does not have the appropriate credentials), it's tagged to a guest VLAN, and stays there. But only validation, not the VLAN tag part. I can make it validate in RADIUS, only if directly connected. But it's not what I intended.Ĭomputer is plugged in the network, either on the phone, or directly, and the switch validates if it has the appropriate credentials to be in the VLAN 1, via RADIUS and Active Directory. So far, none are acomplished, but I think I can get it to validate on the untagged VLAN via Active Directory and it's MAC address. The phone is connected, and is validated, or not, but needs to be tagged to the Voice VLAN. Usually, there is an AVAYA phone connected to the switch, so it also needs to be able to, either be validated, or not validated, but definetely needs to be tagged in the voice VLAN. I'm trying to implement a security solution for my company, that involves 802.1x, a Nortel switch, and microsoft server 2003 IAS (aka RADIUS), and some Avaya IP phones. ![]()
